hectic life

School started today. First lesson: financial reporting. Entered the lecture theatre with 500 pages of notes. The lecturer was doing intro to the subject and when he talked about the exam syllabus part, he asked this question: What is exam? I paused for a moment cos this sounded familiar. Went for the work and travel USA talk after lecture and met yifan and kevin. During the talk there were videos and the creator used 'accidentally in love' as the song for the video. Once again, I felt like I was at somewhere else. It just feels strange to be hearing this every weekend and suddenly it was being played in school. That kind of feeling... like... aiya, don't know how to describe. Too overloaded with stuffs today. Managerial econs started at 3.30pm. The lecturer went straight to start off the first chapter and he finished it within 3 hours. This is just the beginning man... I was half alive after the lesson and I rush straight down to Kg Chai Chee cos I had a speech at 8pm. Heng ah, I managed to reach in time at 7.45pm. There was still some time before it was my turn. Frankly speaking, I was nervous like shit cos I don't even know how my evaluator looked like until the TM of the evening introduced him. Learnt from my mistake from the previous speech and I managed my talk time fairly well this time round. I even brought my phone up to the rostrum to time myself and when I saw the green light being turned on, I felt so relived~ Finally can have proper rest tonight as this speech had been at the back of my mind everyday for the past two weeks. Going to be the timer for the next meeting.. haha. I can play with the 'traffic lights' and bell on the table le! And I learn one thing today: It pays to tell the truth.

Went for karate lesson on saturday with the twins and they taught us a new kata, which was complicated but quite interesting, my next grading kata. Did sparring with Grace. While practising blocks, this sensei came and asked me to punch him while he demo the blocks. My hands are damn pain la, not from the punches but from his blocks! We went to geylang serai pasam malam after that to eat ramily burger. It was heavenly~

My calligraphy exhibition was held last weekend and I was there at the opening ceremony! =D It was a rather 'huge' event for the association as this is part of their 85 years anniversary celebrations. The exhibition would not have been possible if not for the combined efforts of all western and chinese art students of the association. Took some nice photographs of the exhibits.

This is one of my teacher's work. The strokes were powerful and exerts a kind of 'aura'. Haha.

Another inspiring work by him. He actually went to source for the fan-shaped paper. Its some writings on Mao's rule in China during the civil war times (orange fan to represent rage and fury) and the peace that was restored after the civil war (green fan to represent peace and stability). Very meaningful indeed.

My work! I love the mounting this time round. It was so much nicer and cheaper than the previous exhibition and the supplier used different mounting cloths for each and every piece of writing. So tempted to just take it off the wall and bring it home~ Haha

This was done by another classmate. Very nice right? I like the style. I shall switch to this style the next time I go for lessons. It has been a while since I last went to practice my strokes.

This is the only painting that caught my attention amongst the others. Medium: Chinese ink <3
