To those getting their O lvl results next Monday: All the best! Your hard work will be paid off. Keep me updated.
School started and there was, once again, a frenzy for parents to engage private tutors to tuition their kids.
Tuitioned Kenneth on Tuesday morning at 9am at Bukit Batok. That was damn far to people living in the east (like me) but it dosen't matter cos daddy fetched Jean to NUS and dropped me at West Mall after that, so its still not too bad. Brought and awarded him Pokemon stickers everytime he got all his answers correct for a paricular exercise from the assessment book. Afterall, most kids like stickers and that trick worked on him, haha! Did I mention that he is only P2 this year? Yea, he is and he is very cute. But he talks non-stop during tuition. (-.-") Went home in the afternoon and passed by the bank, so I just went in and queued in the line to change my ancient silver POSB card to the Go! card. Many things can happen when you are in the queue you know? I was queuing half-way through and there was this man who came in and said that his atm card was swollen by the machine and aruged with the guy at the reception. In the end he had to join the queue to get a new card or something.. and so he joined in, cursing and swearing at the same time. I got my Go! card finally!!! Yay!
I took train to school on Thursday morning and alighted at Dover to transfer to bus and guess who I met? I bump into Vanessa la! Like, so coincidental! School started since last August and this is the first time that I met her on my way to school. According to her, RMIT lecturers came down to conduct lectures for them for this two weeks, so her lessons started earlier than usual for this few days. Our lessons ended at the same time, so I joined her and her friends for lunch at Alexandra. They went back to school for afternoon class while I headed to RELC to make my exam payment. There were lots of people there and the queue was like, a snake. The whole place was damn warm and stuffy, felt kind of fustrated while queuing. Some people didn't read instructions properly and that really delayed the process when the RELC people check our forms. Took about 45 minutes to get everything done. Went to meet mummy at Bugis and we wanted to have afternoon tea at the Nyonya cafe that we usually go to but it was full house on that day. Haiz. *Disappointed* This is the effect of the show lor. Everytime mediacorp dramas with themes like the recent Little Nyonya air, people will be so crazy about the whole thing and start to patronise the restuarants that offers Peranakan cusine. Nevermind about that, what's more interesting was that when we went into the shopping mall, there was this cart stall selling Chinese New Year cookies and goodies. The sales girls there were dressed in the Nyonya costume la! See how impacting the drama is now?
Had a really bad stomache ache on Friday morning and I was late for class cos I camped in the toilet for like, longer than usual. Learned about Unconstrained Optimisation for Math 1. Mr Sayd was super action today la. He wanted us to picture the 3D image formed by the points on the axis of the co-ordinates and so, he kind of "danced" to show us the position of the points in mid air. It was hilarious man! But I think his teaching methods are very effective as most of us understood what he's trying to say la. Went to BVSS for BTW session in the afternoon. This is the first time that I saw boys crying like girls even before I got a chance to say my piece. And this just prove something - the session was a success. We(Joanne, Jean & Joshua) wanted to watched the Red Cliff 2 at 1230am but we didn't go in the end cos we were all quite tired. Went home to sleep instead.
Jean made breakfast for us today! It was simple but nice! Went for Oasis in the afternoon. Had lunch before heading to beach road for dessert at my grandparent's house. Took train to Pasir Ris to meet my aunt. They are having some kind of flea market at the open space in the neighbourhood. Some of the things there are 2nd hand, while others are brand new. They are really cheap and nice. 2nd hand storybooks for 20cents each, clothes selling at $1/piece. Yea. Had fun with my cousins too! =D
