Update on trip

HAHA. I'M BACK.

Actually I arrived back here in this wonderful, peaceful and safe country yesterday noon. I was supposed to be back on Wednesday night, but my trip kind of extended(till friday). So, I went to several places around the region by cruise during the past 5 days: Penang, Phuket, Malacca & KL. Malacca reminds me of 小娘惹. And talking about 小娘惹, I missed 5 whole episodes of it!!! =( Can somebody please download (from anywhere also can, but 土豆 has the best quality as far as I know) and pass it to me? (cos I will be quite busy in the coming months, but I'll still have the time to watch it, haha!) Thank you very much!

OK. Let me talk about today, before I start flashing back to my trip. =)

Reached Singapore on Friday afternoon but only managed to get home at night, simply beacuse I don't have the keys and there is no one at home. How conincidental. I was dead tired by the time I finish unpacking my stuff, and so, went to bed after unpacking. And so, I thought I saw Jean standing in front of her study table, carrying her backpack and waving happily to me --- in my dreams. But when I woke up in the morning, she's sleeping beside me wor.. That means she reached home in the middle of the night la, I'm not dreaming. Yup. So, I got a series of tasks lined up for me to complete today.

1. Bring my cat to the Pet's Clinic
2. Go Loyang Point to make new spects
3. Extra POA lesson
4. Meet my mum, aunt & cousin at Orchard for a walk

My cat caught a flu, so, as a caring and loving owner, I brought her to the clinic. She is very tame and calm when the vet took her temperature and gave her the injection, I'm so proud of her. Haha. Sounds stupid to be proud of a pet, but, unless you have one, you will know what I mean. Her medicine is one bag full. There are vitamins, anti-biotics, pills for cold and sneezing, nutrient gel. Haha, so many types. Received a call from the clinic saying that I left one pack of the pills at their counter. Opps. Got to go collect tomorrow morning cos she needs to take it tomorrow.

Was supposed to meet Mrs Lim at 1pm at Loyang Point, but I took half an hour more. It took quite a while to get my eyes checked. Good news is my astigmatism decreased by a hundred, bad news is my myopia increased by 50. The optician told me that they will kind of cancel out, so, overall, its still a good news. Everything cost a 160 bucks --- it's the cheapest pair of spects I've ever made. In the past, they cost $200-300/pair on average. Thanks to Mrs Lim that I got such a reasonble price. Haha.

Chiong down to Clementi for lesson. Almost late but not late, just on time. Haha. The lecture started, for once, on time and we ended early! Yay! Went to meet my favourite people at Orchard for some photo-taking and shopping cos aunt is going back to Shang-hai next Tuesday. We then went to Beach road and I bought Mutton Soup for grandpa and the rest. He's happy and I'm happy to see him happy. Haha. Ok. I must say that the Mutton Soup at Golden Mile Food Centre is super nice and good for health. Must try! They have several stalls selling Mutton Soup there, the second stall from the row that is right infront of the staircase beside the road has the best. Haha.

Joshua just made me a glass of Volka+7up, served with ice. Very shiok, thank you. Haha!

NOW, about my trip!

Spent the last 5 days on cruise with grandma(paternal), daddy, Joshua and Mrs Lim & family. We(kids) went into the Casino, not to gamble, but to see them play jackpot, occasionally helping them to press the buttons. Haha. Josh pass the security but I got checked! What the hell. And damn it, I was holding on to his access card (cos mine was with him and he was not with me at that point of time) when the security guy asked for it, so I was refused entry into the Casino. Fine, whatever, like your Casino is very welcoming like that! Oh, they do serve free flow of beverages in the casino for the people who 'game' there, so, I kind of made use of this advantage and asked for coke+lemon everytime I sit at the side and watch my dad play. Haha. But their coke is ALWAYS flat, time to change their dispenser already. Besides the casino, we hang out at the arcade and played mahjong in our room. Haha. Mrs Lim bought Grandma a travel set, the tiles are half the size of the normal set, very miniature, very cute. Haha. Daddy ordered red wine for the two nights which we had dinner onboard.

We went to shop in Penang, Phuket and KL and everywhere is having sales. Holiday season sales. Haha. BodyGlove is having 50% storewide discount in Malaysia. Haha. Went to this area called Gurney Drive in Penang and they have this whole stretch of eatey lined along the coast. Their asam laksa and fried kway teow is super delicious. One thing funny is the designs of their stall signboards. Took many pictures of it, shall post it up when I get them from my dad. Had lunch at Fuji restaurant when we were in Phuket. Each of us ordered a sashimi set meal and let me tell you, the meal includes: Sashimi bentto set(with shushi and fried snacks), chawamushi, ice coffee and miso soup. Its alot la. Wait till I post the pics up, you'll be jealous. Daddy ordered hot sake for all of us. We smuggled durian onto the cruise and we succeeded! Haha. Their durian with glutinious rice is a must-eat when we go Thailand, so grandma happily bought a few packs of it while we do the wrapping(as in, wrap with layers and layers of plastic bags to hide the smell). We even resort to applying perfume onto my bag(where the durians are hidden) to cover the scent. Haha. That was very comical when it actually happened. Shared a bottle of Henniken with Mrs Lim before we board the tender boat to send us back to the vessel.

I celebrated my Christmas eve on the vessel, with Mrs Lim and her family. Haha. We had the cocktail of the day --- Bacardi with banana syrup and rum. I felt tipsy after I finished my glass of it but we went on to have chicken wings and french fries at Blue Lagoon. Haha. That was when Mrs Lim told me that my face turned very red. Haha. Sia la, I realised I had been drinking throughout my trip. But its the festive season, so its alright. Haha.

Yup, guessed that's all for my trip this time. Photos will be up soon!
