factory visit at 3am

i was woken up at 3am by my boss to visit one of our client's factory. the factor process meat products such as suckling pigs, roasted chicken, char siew and etc.. my presence was to observe if the workers handling the frozen meat comply with the safety guidlines of proper food handling.
quite boring, i know.

just by looking at the way they process the meat, i have a sudden urge to ask this question: everytime when you are enjoying your sumptuous pork ribs from cafe cartel or any other resturant, have you ever wondered how it looked like before it is nicely cooked and served to you? they have to be frozen and thawed before their brains, tails, ribs and ears are removed. and all these was witnessed by me --- at 3am in the morning... i gurantee that the process of removing the brains and ribs of the thawed piglet is definately not recommended for viewing by the weak-hearted. it's kind of cruel you know? and all the chopping+slicing reminds me of the video that mr new showed our class durning my JC1 gp lesson. haha.. "you are what you eat" this saying is quite true to a certain extend..

erm, well, that goes my saturday morning.. everything lasted until 10am. i need to rest!!!

in the evening, my class went to sakae for buffet dinner!!! we are there talking, playing bridge and taking pictures like nobody's business.. i think amongst all the people there, we made the most noise. but haha.. who cares? dinner is suppose to be noisy.. hahas.. and i think this would be the last gathering before hoyin leaves for hongkong on monday and also for some guys who will be entering army in early jan next year..

hmm.. went home to do the laundry after that. i think the most suitale phrase to decribe my feelings then was Maria Not At Home ~ [When ‘Maria’ – the homemaker or maid – isn’t at home, can the rest of the family cope?]. of all the electrical appliances, the washing machine was spoiled. poor me have to wash all the dirty clothes by hand.

to reward myself, i watched the golden horse awards which was aired on channel u. jean was watching in taipei too and i guessed that she was damn happy cos her favourite actor won the best actor award. gurmit singh was nominated for best actor award for acting in Just Follow Law! i mean, nominated!!! how many singaporeans got the chance to be nominated at such a prestigous award ceremony? few, very few. although he did not managed to get the award, i'm still very happy to hear that one of the nominee was actually a singaporean. tmr will be the star awards (part 1), kind of excited to watch it.. haha.. this weekend is full of events.. =)
